It includes sample charts of events, activity ideas, checklists, job descriptions, equipment supply forms, sample letters and much more. A school carnival is a co-curricular festival that takes place during a specific time fram within a school year. A carnival can be classified as special days, one of four sub-dimensions of an intramural program in a Quality Physical Education Program. Based on intramural philosophy, the primary purpose of a carnival is to complement the other three dimensions: leagues (tournaments) meets; clubs and self-directed activities. Other intentions depend on the school, the community, and the human resources. These intentions may include any of the following:

• To increase school spirit
• To develop positive attitudes towards participation
• To develop and utilize special interests and abilities of students and staff
