Building a Healthy School Community

Communities of Practice

PHE Canada is partnering with schools, school boards and health agencies to build healthier school communities and ensure all children and youth live healthy, physically active lives. In 2015-2016, approximately 80 schools across Canada were selected to pilot a process to become more comprehensive in their approach to school health. The schools are working together in geographic clusters or Communities of Practice (COP) and will participate in planning and engagement processes to build or enhance a comprehensive healthy school community plan.
