The Saskatchewan Physical Education Association (SPEA) is a professional non-profit organization and a Professional Growth Network of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation (STF). Each year we present the largest STF professional development conference attracting up to 300 delegates.

This year the SPEA Conference will be held in Saskatoon, SK- May 10-12, 2017 at the Sheraton Cavalier with sessions at the University of Saskatchewan.

The conference title is “The Nature of Movement”

Keynote Speaker

Martin J Leblanc – Co-Founder of the Children and Nature Network A founding Board Member, Vice-President emeritus and Senior Advisor of the Children and NatureNetwork, he is inspired by the vision of Richard Louv, author of Last Child in the Woods. Martin co-created the 'Natural Leaders' initiative which unites community organizing with outdoor leadership certifications that empower youth.

Since the majority of our registrants are educators, the information and exposure received from our Conference will be taken back to schools across the province. Youth of all ages, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds will be the benefactors of this professional development experience.
