Located on one of the oldest, but most exciting streets in North America, George Street is home to the Martini Bar and Dusk Ultra, one of St. John’s hottest bars.     Early Morning Physical Activity Session - Signal Hill Hike
    Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, meet in the front lobby
    Join us for a hike from the top of Signal Hill, and back.  Located 1.9 km from the hotel, it is about a 30 minute walk one-way to the top. Remember to bring your camera for photo-ops. The bus shuttle leaves at 7:00 am sharp.

    Welcome Ceremony, featuring the Keynote Address by Dr. TA Loeffler
    Memorial University

    The Welcome Ceremony will "set the stage" for the 2017 National Conference. It will feature the Keynote Address by Dr. TA Loeffler - a professor of outdoor education who has a reputation for excellence in experiential education and has shared her message of "Big Dreams, Big Goals" with over 90,000 youth in Newfoundland and Labrador.

    Dance Spectacular

    Dance Spectacular promotes and educates delegates about the value of dance as an educational, recreational and therapeutic endeavour of benefit for participants across the lifespan. This is an opportunity to see the results of quality dance education and programs performed by students of all ages.

    PESIC and PHE Canada believe it is a priority to recognize excellence in the field, honouring distinguished individuals and organization for their significant achievements. This is a semi-formal event to celebrate the leaders in our profession, and features the prestigious R.Tait McKenzie Scholar Address by Dr. Antony Card.
    Additional tickets for family and friends to attend the Awards Banquet & Ceremony are available for an additional $75.00/person. Additional tickets must be purchased in advance with registration and are non-refundable.

    Goin' to be a Time Tonight - Social Event

    Continue the celebrations into the night with the Dance-Off, and live musical performances by Larry Foley, and by Mid Life.

    Early Morning Physical Activity Session - Quidi Vidi Village & Lake Walk-Run
    Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, meet in the front lobby
    Join us for a walk-run along this mile-long lake or into the picturesque Quidi Vidi Village. Pronounced “kiddy viddy”, it is located 1.0 km from the hotel and is about a 15 minute walk one-way – then there will be time required to walk around the village and lake. The lake has a 3.8 km/2.4 mi walking trail around its perimeter. The bus shuttle leaves at 7:00 am sharp.
