The book includes theory, tips and activities to assist in teaching motor skills with specific adaptations for children in wheelchairs, children who use mobility aids, children who have limited mobility but do not use mobility aids, children with a visual impairment and deaf children. All the skills taught in the book address the three major skill categories within the LTAD Model: stability skills, object manipulation skills, and locomotor skills.

Designed for teachers of students and for coaches of young athletes who have a physical disability (congenital or acquired disability) who are in the Active Start and FUNdamentals Stages of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program.

Developed as a companion to FMS: Active Start and FUNdamentals, this resource will provide teachers and coaches with user-friendly, multi-sensory teaching tool to assist with fundamental (basic) skill development among children with a physical disability, including adaptations and modifications to ensure that all children can develop skills and participate alongside their peers.
