| FMS: Active Start and FUNdamentals
The book includes theory, tips and activities to assist in teaching motor skills in the classroom or sport setting. All the skills taught in the book address the three major skill categories within the LTAD Model: stability skills, object manipulation skills, and locomotor skills.

Designed for teachers of children in Kindergarten to Grade 3, and for coaches of young athletes (males 5-9 yrs, females 5-8 yrs) who are in the Active Start and FUNdamentals Stages of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program.
The handbook includes:
- 12 fundamental movement skills
- a description of the mature movement pattern for the fundamental motor skills;
- still photographs of each skill;
- teaching tips and cue words and phrases to help the teacher/coach develop these motor skills in their students/athletes;
- Coordinating activities that allow the student/child to practice the motor skills.
