The PHE Canada Student Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate student leadership in the field of physical and health education. Each Canadian university offering a degree in physical education or a related discipline can present the award. Presentation of the award varies, and is left to the discretion of the University.
Distinguished recipients will receive the following:
- an award certificate;
- a 1-year enhanced student membership to PHE Canada ($50 value), and
- recipients will be invited to attend the PHE Canada/AAPHERD Student Leadership Conference.
Eligibility
To qualify for this award, the student must be named by his or her university and be registered in the second or third year of a four-year undergraduate program, or in the second year of a three-year undergraduate program in physical education or a related discipline. The student must also have attained a minimum of second class honours standing (3.0 GPA) and have demonstrated leadership in a student health, physical education or recreation organization.
