R. Tait Mckenzie Award
Nominations are now being accepted for The R. Tait McKenzie Honour Award Recipient's for 2013!
This award is PHE Canada’s most prestigious award and is named after the distinguished Canadian physician, sculptor and physical educator, Dr. R. Tait McKenzie. The award epitomizes Dr. Tait McKenzie’s professional ideals, his service to humanity, and his dedication to the advancement of knowledge and understanding of physical and health education, recreation and dance.
Ms. Myra Stephen, Mr. Garth Turtle and Dr. Melnychuk were presented with the award at Honour Award Banquet during the PHE Canada National Conference on Friday, October 22, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario. These 3 distinguished recipients received a framed Honour Award Certificate and Joy of Effort Medallion, one of Dr. Tait McKenzie’s best-known pieces.
